What house cleaning costs across Northwest Indiana, town by town
A 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home of about 1,800 square feet costs about $280 to $350 every two weeks with Golds Cleaning across Northwest Indiana in 2026, depending on the town. Valparaiso and Chesterton are about $285, Crown Point about $280, St. John, Schererville, Winfield, Michigan City, Dune Acres and Ogden Dunes about $305, Beverly Shores about $325, Munster and Dyer about $330, and Long Beach about $350. A first deep clean of that home runs about $530 to $650. Indiana charges no sales tax on cleaning.

I am not the cheapest cleaner in Northwest Indiana and I am not trying to be. What I can do is show you the actual price for your town before you pick up the phone, and tell you exactly what it buys, which in my experience is the part nobody explains.
The same home, town by town
Here is one home, a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom of about 1,800 square feet, cleaned every two weeks, in each place I work regularly:
- Valparaiso: around $285
- Shorewood Forest, Aberdeen and Sand Creek: around $305
- Chesterton: around $285
- Dune Acres: around $305
- Ogden Dunes: around $305
- Beverly Shores: around $325
- Crown Point: around $280
- Winfield: around $305
- St. John: around $305
- Schererville: around $305
- Dyer: around $330
- Munster: around $330
- Michigan City: around $305
- Long Beach: around $350
Why the number moves
Two things move it, and only two. The first is the kind of home a neighborhood is built from: larger, newer homes with more glass, stone and open floor take longer to do properly and show every miss, so those neighborhoods price a little higher. The second is the drive. Anything past 15 miles from Valparaiso has the drive folded into the price, which is why Munster and Dyer sit at the top of the list even though their homes are not the largest.
Notice what is not on that list of reasons: what you look like you can afford. Two neighbors with the same home get the same price.
Weekly, every two weeks, every four weeks
Weekly costs less per visit and every four weeks costs more, because a home that goes a month has more built up in it. Most families settle on every two weeks. For the cost in your own town at each rhythm, and for the first deep clean, each town has its own page in the journal.
What every one of those prices includes
Me, in your home, every visit, never a rotating crew. A written nine step standard that runs the same on a busy week as a quiet one, a short note after each visit about anything I noticed, fragrance-free products whenever you ask, and a redo at no charge if you tell me within a day that something was missed. Nothing is charged until the work is done.
