What house cleaning costs in Beverly Shores

Beverly Shores is about 22 miles from Valparaiso along the lake, and the drive is in these prices. The town is surrounded by the National Park, and its homes are mostly empty during the week and owned by families who live somewhere else.

What it costs by size

If the home is lived in and cleaned every two weeks:

• 2 bed, 1 bath, about 1,100 sq ft: around $240
• 3 bed, 2 bath, about 1,800 sq ft: around $325
• 4 bed, 2.5 bath, about 2,900 sq ft: around $410
• 5 bed, 3.5 bath, about 3,600 sq ft: priced after photos

Homes that sit

Short term rental is not allowed in Beverly Shores, so most of these homes are not turning over between guests. They sit closed, and a closed home near the lake builds damp, dust and a stale smell. For most owners the better plan is a clean before you arrive and after you leave, with a look in between, priced around the weekends you actually come.

The first visit

The first clean brings the whole home up at once: trim, blinds, vents, window tracks full of sand, and the corners a summer leaves behind. For the 1,800 square foot home it is about $625, or $565 with regular visits booked after it.

What you are paying for

Someone you know letting themselves into your home, not a different stranger each time. I keep the key arrangement, follow the same written standard at every visit and send a note afterward so you know the home is fine without driving up to check. If something was missed I come back at no charge.
